Camp Figtree is a remote, private
lodge set on top of the stunning Zuurberg mountain range in The
Eastern Cape, South Africa. Resting between a conservancy and
the Addo Elephant National Park, the camp boasts the most breathtaking
270-degree views to be found in this South African region. Camp
Figtree has been designed around its original 1920's traditional
colonial building style. Historically, this includes the distinctive
use of corrugated iron roofing and wide, sweeping verandas which
provide areas for relaxed sociability.
The Main
lodge offers a lounge with open fireplace, dining area, wide open
verandas and breathtaking panoramic vistas from the pool and various
deck areas. The Seven separate and individually decorated
luxury & superior suites, with private verandas, offer privacy
and Old World elegance – two have a quaint annex designed for
Family use.

Accommodation
At Camp Figtree,
Suites selections include: 3 Luxury Suites & 4 Superior Suites,
with two of these having an annex for Families. All suites have
Victorian bathrooms with bath and separate showers and the 4 Superior
Suites have stunning views over the Zuurberg valley from their
private verandahs.
Activities
The
unique and beautiful location of Camp FigTree enables the lodge
to offer a host of game viewing activities and other options,
all of which can be arranged to best suit the guests. some of
These activities include: Guided walks,
mountain bikes, quad bikes and canoes available to explore the
area, daily Guided excursions into Addo Elephant National Park
which is home to the Big 5 and Elephant Back Safaris are also
a popular off property experience.
Wildlife
Camp Figtree lies
near the Addo National Park and therefore the big 5 are only a
short game drive away.
Access
Camp Figtree is situated on the N2
between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown and is easily accessible
by making use of road transfers, light aircraft or self drive.
