Lovely for honeymooners, the thatched,
ethnically decorated Lobengula Lodge is tucked deep into the valley
bushveld and gives one that distinctive Colonial experience. It
overlooks the sweeping plains leading down the the Bushmans River.
After a game drive you can relax, swim or enjoy a drink
at the sunken pool bar in the lovely pool area. In fact, the lodge
has two pool areas - one on the lawns and the other, more private
and out of sight of the lodge, surrounded by aloes. The wooden
deck overlooks the dense African bush and provides a great location
for having meals or listening to mystical African storytelling
in front of the fireplace.

Accommodation:- The Lodge consists
of five double rooms which are en-suite, with air-conditioning
and under-floor heating. The Presidential Suite also includes
a private lounge with fireplace. Lavish meals are served for all
discerning diners and a selection of fine South Africa wines from
its cellar are on offer. Well-trained staff ensure a high quality
of service and satisfaction. Other facilities: pool, gym and steambath.

Activities:- Enjoy Game Drives
in open Land Rovers, guided walks, visit the Born Free Foundation
and Conservation Centre or experience Khaya Lendaba, an African
Arts and Culture village.
Wildlife:- Home to some 60 mammals,
300 bird species, 100 plant types and numerous reptile and insect
species, at Mabula, all natures' wonders are revered - from the
'Big Five' (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) to the
'small five' (ant lion, leopard tortoise, buffalo weaver, elephant
shrew and rhino beetle). This is the Heartland of the Safari experience.
Access:- Shamwari Game Reserve is located about
one hour's drive from the city of Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape
Province, South Africa. There are regular jet flights to the city
many times a day from Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.
